Hiking aka climbing a mountain

Last Sunday was a beautiful day here so Edward suggested that we take a walk through the mountains to check his trail cameras. He told me we could walk up an old logging road to them so it would be a nice walk. I thought it was a great idea, we could get the dog and Ella out of the house. Well, lets just say the beginning was fine hiking up the mountain but then the logging road ended. What's next? Ohh you make your own path! Reminder Ella is with us and looks like this...

So, we continue pushing branches out of our way to get to the top of the mountain. I have running shoes on and they slide on the leaves, I don't recommend them for climbing anything. At one point, Ella managed to grab a stick (which she kept in her hand until she fell asleep).

She seemed to be enjoying herself as she was strapped to the front of Edward. Of course, I was dragging behind because I had to pull myself up the mountain using trees because I had no traction on my shoes. Once we got to the top it was actually really pretty (sorry, no picture.) But we were able to get ALL the trail cameras. Going down was a little more interesting, I basically slid the whole way down, Ella on the other hand had a great nap! Here they are back at the car

Lesson Learned: Never believe Edward when it comes to going in the mountains!!
Ohh one more picture that we found on Edward's trail camera

Bath Time

Ella loves everything about taking a bath. Here are some pictures from the other day when I added bubbles for her to play with.

She's on the move

Ella is moving and shaking! In the past two weeks she has picked up the pace, she will scoot anywhere now and she's pretty fast. She's been crawling more but it seems like she has learned that she is faster the other way. Recently, she will try to pull herself up on everything. Today I caught her trying to pull herself up on the wall, not a good idea.
She's starting to eat more pureed food. She picks and chooses the time she wants to eat. She tends to eat more in the morning than at night for some reason. She's pretty much eaten anything that I have given her but just chooses to eat less of some things. She loves bananas mixed with yogurt and today she had some cantaloupe and seemed to love that too. Peas are her favorite veggie but we are expanding our horizons on the veggies so we will see how that goes.
Ella has been cleaning my floors quite regularly, no matter how often I vacuum she's covered in hair. She's attracted to dirt and the direst things possible, loves to try playing with our shoes, the swiffer, and anything like that. She's been so busy recently and getting into everything so here are some pictures to show what she's been up to.
